Mild to moderate acne can often be treated by drug store products. However, do check the ingredient label of such products and be sure that these products contain at least 5 active acne-fighting compunds.
One common acne treatment compound is salicyclic acid. This is a versatile compound and can be often found in cleansers and cosmetics.
Another common but much more effective acne treatment compound is benzoyl peroxide.

So, as promised, i will be covering more details on the various procedures available for Acne Scar Removal. For this post, we will go through a procedure known as Laser Resurfacing. I will be going through some of the dos and don’ts that you can prepare yourself yourself for before the Laser resurfacing procedure and after the procedure.
Preparation
You may wish to discuss with your dermatologist on the following issues to better prepare yourself for laser resurfacing.
-
Discussion of your expectation. I think this is pretty important as there might be discrepancies between what you think laser resurfacing might do to your acne scars and the actual extent of acne scar removal that can be achieved. Do note that laser resurfacing is more suitable for mild acne scar removal. Hence, if you have deep acne scars, this type of acne scar removal might not work for you.
-
Physical examination of your skin. Your dermatologist should actually give a thorough inspection of your existing skin condition and the extent of acne scar removal that can be done.
-
Photographs. Photographs of your acne condition should preferably be taken so that there can be a compare and contrast of your skin condition before the laser resurfacing procedure and after it.
